Poster and oral presentation guidelines

Posters

The dimensions for posters are 115 cm high x 75 cm wide.

We will have poster easels with poster boards and pushpins, so presenters only need to bring their posters with them. Posters can be displayed beginning Monday morning and will remain on display throughout the conference. The poster easels will be labeled with the name of the first author of each poster and arranged in the room alphabetically by last name. Members of the local organizing committee as well as student volunteers will be there to provide any needed assistance. We also have a dedicated poster session planned. Presenters should plan to stand next to their poster during this session to enable interactions with conference attendees and student poster judges. Presenters should plan to remove their posters by noon on Friday.

Oral presentations

Presenters should plan for 15 minute talks (including questions).

Use Microsoft Powerpoint and bring their talks in electronic format (stored on a flash drive). Presenters will not be allowed to use their own laptop computers, so please make sure that your presentation runs as intended on a computer other than your own (especially MAC users). Presenters should plan to arrive early the day of their talk to ensure sufficient time to load their presentations on the laptop provided.
