Funding and Sponsors

The conference's primary sponsor is the Norwegian Institute of Marine Research.

Significant funding has also been made available by the
Research Council of Norway (Oceans and Coastal Areas Program), the Bergen Marine Research Cluster, Skretting; ECOCEAN SAS, and CleanAlgae.

In-kind support has been provided by the
Global Aquaculture Alliance, SimboliQ, the Early Life History Section of the American Fisheries Society, the University of Bergen, Taylor and Francis, Oxford University Press, Wiley-Blackwell, Springer, Espen Rekdal Photography, Harald Kryvi, and Bathybiologia A/S.

Financial support is being used to (i) plan, organize and promote the meeting, (ii) ensure the participation of renowned keynote speakers, (iii) facilitate student participation (by reducing their registration fees, accommodation costs and travel), (iv) publish a conference proceedings book, which will be published as an open access document and distributed free of charge to all delegates and other interested parties, (v) keep the registration fee and hotel accommodation at a reasonable level, and (vi) fund social events. Other running costs for the conference will be raised through the registration fee.
